Bastille Day - July 14th 2010
On July 14th the French celebrate Bastille Day. This day marks the end of monarchy and the beginning of the French Revolution.
For the French, the day is the "Fête Nationale" and is not only a national holiday, but a day of community celebration.
In nearly every town or "commune" there are parades, fireworks anddinner parties. Bastille Day in France is a celebration, and everyone is invited to the party.

On Wednesday July 14th we will be preparing a 3-course dinner menu typical of that holiday in France.
In addition, this special dinner will also feature the talented David Locke performing a collection of French accordion songs to celebrate the occasion.
