Bastille Day - July 14th 2011
On July 14th the French celebrate Bastille Day. This day marks the end of monarchy and the beginning of the French Revolution.
For the French, the day is the "Fête Nationale" and is not only a national holiday, but a day of community celebration.
In nearly every town or "commune" there are parades, fireworks anddinner parties. Bastille Day in France is a celebration, and everyone is invited to the party.

Fête Nationale
On Thursday July 14th we will be preparing a 3-course dinner menu typical of that holiday in France. Happy Hour will also be available from 5-7pm without reservation only. Our regular dinner menu will not be served.
In addition, this special dinner will also feature the talented Fathia Atallah performing many well-loved Jazz standards in English and French, as well as her original compositions to celebrate the occasion. Fathia Atallah is a composer and Jazz Vocalist from Toulouse. She directed Le Centre Français on Broadway in Seattle for 5 years. Fathia now directs five musical ensembles. (fathiainseattle.com)
